A little about James ...
James William (Billy) Carruth was born April 18, 1969 to John Howard and Rosamond LaNelle Carruth. He grew up in Sumrall, Mississippi learning to love his church, music and the arts. He aspired to become a nurse and was in the process of furthering his education in that field when he passed away on June
18, 2006 at 37 years of age. He was a highly skilled award-winning cosmotologist with a client base that scattered the country, many who regularly traveled hundreds of miles for his services.

James loved all God's creatures and loved to spend time with his own special animal family, Smack, Goodness, Panda, Butch and Bear, his loving Shar-Pei dogs. He also had quite a few feline friends that greeted him each day with love. He is surely preparing a nice flower garden in heaven for them to romp in. James tried to care for every stray he found, feeding them when they were hungry, doctored their wounds and hearts with loving care.

James love of the arts spanned many mediums ~ Chinese culture intrigued him as did music, art, dance, photography, cooking and gardening. James really loved to laugh and lift the spirits of others by sharing his laughter. He was a peace-loving man and loved his family and friends dearly. He was always ready to help anyone with any project they had going on, he loved to stay busy, everyone wanted James to help because he had such creative ideas and he could pull them off without a glitch.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, James would have preferred donations be made to a no-kill animal shelter in his name.

This website has been created to facilitate donations in James' memory to a shelter near his hometown in Mississippi.
